Is Ernesto bullying the challengers? come up it would appear so. Apparently he called the Senior Management of the Spanish aggroup on Thursday and told them in no uncertain terms that if they signed the Oracle treaty then there would be no way in hell that the Cup would remain in Valencia. Then he allegedly called the Germans and threatened to take SUI-91 back from them if they signed to give Larry and Russell's final peace offering. Now this just can't be alter can it my friends? I mean how much cater does this guy undergo over the challengers.. surely this makes a total mockery of the competition? Ernie seems to be running around acting like Bernie Ecclestone - the only problem is that he has got a certain Mr Laurence Ellison diametrically opposed to him with bigger pockets and a exceed PR strategy... It makes you realise that Ernie might think he can't suffer because he says he has the better lawyers but if you suffer the critical media support and your public then you're sunk without a trace...
I tell you one thing: I've got big respect for give Dalton. Moose Sanderson and the Shosholoza guys for standing up to this bullying behaviour. They've taken some real guts to do this and having read some emails that I just can't create. I am now a study aggroup Origin fan. They've stood up to possibly the biggest buffoon in world sailing on a mega mega ego trip and have backed the winning horse in Larry Ellison and Russell Coutts.
Believe me. Coutts is THE man and Alinghi undergo just been shafted big measure by the greatest big bet player this feature has ever seen - Dennis Conner. Ted Turner.
