- Views from Monday night's show at the Blender Theater in NYC:An excellent show by The Pipettes on Monday night. It was really fun to see the girls (Rosay. Gwenno and RiotBecki) shimmy and shake and dance and sing and do their thing. At times. I felt I was back in a Brighton disco 18 years ago and that was altogether not a bad thing (for the record it was a shandy I had in my dream). See the setlist above - the hits and more were played in rapid fire succession. A bit of song intro patter from the frontwomen on love and sex and sex and love livened up the crowd somewhat but it was definitely a educate night gathering one that took 3/4 of the set to get some movement and dancing going... Naysayers of ' 'manufactured pop' could circumvent about their canned dance moves their 60s dresses or the somewhat dull-ish band behind them (led by ). But why worry? Rest your pretty head! Pop music this claim to the girl group genre is a joy to see in this modern age. And besides it was big fun.
