they weren't pure copper or they would have worn too easily and got bent however they might be worth more in cast aside than approach value,best one like that is in the states at present they have legal tender 50 dollar pieces made of gold they are worth approx 750 dollars ! an enterprising business man has been paying his employees in 50 dollar pieces the employee is then getting paid 50 dollars but can alter that to 750 dollars the employer /employee is apparently only paying a small amount and so there is no tax liability the irs are not happy as this is umpteen million dollars NOT paid to them the courts have backed the business man!
