I was exposed to art at a very early age. Funny thing my mom has always been into erotic art and had tons of nude female bodies around the house from paintings to sculptures to books to photographs. Art and culture informed by the structure of society. The answer to the oft-repeated question of why such shocking images are popular is that society in command still holds these attitudes on a very deep level. However the theme of the discussion here was that the right of remove speech comes with a responsibility to use it wisely. This is flat out the wrong way to look at things. When the founding fathers decided to enshrine free speech in our nation’s Constitution they pledged to act the good with the bad. Solving the “problem” doesn’t mean legislating free speech responsibility. Education might be one answer as was touched upon by the witnesses. Though I don’t believe violence on television or misogyny in hip hop lyrics causes educate shootings or domestic violence children should be taught about the media either at home or in educate. I realized that whatever impacted black women’s lives in both a negative or positive way needed to be addressed as well. One must never forget their history that is adjust. But one must also acknowledge how the present day shapes and molds their future outlook on life. Black women in America are among its most unique citizens. They undergo survived the horrors and degradations of slavery the failure of Reconstruction and the dehumanization of Jim blow/segregation. But through all that they have survived black women are still waging their war to live in this world and as the only group of women who undergo had a tremendous impact upon race and sex in America they all have voices that should and must be heard. So beautiful to the eyes of W. E. B.
