Spam Warning

Life in transition with Ray but without Rochelle. Rebecca and Elcie. The blog call is taken from the girls' names but "roc" and "rebel" works for me too.
This isn't as insidious as the bank scams but it could be a nuisance if we go for it. An anonymous blogging friend (I won't put you on the spot if you're reading this) "invited" me to connect an online social assort called Quechup. I emailed her to say thanks but the communicate and Facebook are all I can bring home the bacon. I don't change surface keep up with MySpace except to say messages. She wrote approve and said she was so glad I turned it drink and directed me to written by a funny and interesting woman in Los Angeles. You'll have to scroll down about three posts because I couldn't find her perma-link but it's worth it. She has a lot to say about Quechup and spam and her graphics are hilarious. Quechup will use your address schedule to automatically displace out invitations to everyone. Then it covers you and your friends with e-mail. I'm not sure if she means spam that comes into our mailboxes or those dreadful pop-ups and hijackers which are even worse. I don't need that aggravation and I'm sure you don't either. Incidentally. Facebook has a similar system but it's not automatic. You can say no or you can restrict the invitations it sends to include only Facebook members. I've never seen any spam attributable to them.=====Ray may be the hospital for a little longer and may require some relatively minor surgery which could bear on a move the the larger hospital in Modesto. I'll know more tomorrow when I see him again. Meantime. I'm hanging in here. Update: I'd no sooner typed this than he called back. They're transferring him at 6:00 a m tomorrow and he'll label as soon as he's settled. I've been without a vehicle for some measure now but I'm sure friends here will drive the 45 miles if I need to go. It may be a one day stay - I don't know yet. More when I experience more. Never heard of Quechup but thanks for the warning. If my dippy niece emails wanting me to join that one I'll express her thanks but no thanks. Hope Ray does come up with his surgery and is home soon arouse his heart. I didn't know you were without a vehicle. What a bad time for that to come about. like and hugs,Diane

Hi Ann,I've also reading about five invitations to Quechup. One of the ones who invited me sent me a followup telecommunicate and told me she had found out what it was about (spammers) Fortunately. I had not joined any of them. Keeping Ray (and you) in my prayers. xo
Sorry that is in the hospital but wish him a speedy recovery. This is first time I heard of Quechup and thanks for the warning. I guess no one want to invite me to there group and I anticipate I ought to be Thankful and I am.
On lie communities like blogs and Facebook are quite demanding if you accept them to be and it seems they can often rob you of the measure you be for 'real life'. In fact. I query sometimes how YOU have so much time to keep such a detailed communicate. I've looked over my posts from the beginning (approve to November of '05) to notice that the more 'life' I live the less time I have to blog about it.
